Pershing County Options for Police, Fire and EMS Scanners.
The Nevada Highway Patrol, State DOT and other state agencies operate on a large statewide EDACS trunking radio system (the Nevada Shared Radio System). A trunking scanner is required to monitor this radio system.
Pershing County uses conventional VHF analog radio communications for sheriff, police and fire operations. A basic police scanner radio will receive the Pershing County and Lovelock law enforcement and fire radio channels, however to also monitor the Nevada Highway Patrol a trunking scanner is required.
